Lamplighter Coffee Roasters ★★★★★

Richmond, Virginia is the the home of Lamplighter Coffee Roasters. Located in the southeast part of the state and the capital of Virginia.

There are three locations in Richmond and my visit was to their location on Summit Avenue. Unsure of what to expect, the entrance caught my attention immediately! The entrance is unique in that the original steps are boxed in by a brick wall on the right adjacent to a bead board wall that is accented with windows in the center. The cafe is average in size, but big in style. At the counter I noticed a sign offering a “Lavender Latte”, not having one of these before, I strayed from my usual order to try one.

Lavender Latte – Espresso, steamed milk and organic lavender flower syrup

The drink was delicious and unlike anything I have ever had! I was so glad that I decided to try something new! After this drink, I also ordered a cappuccino and a pour over. While sitting enjoying my drinks, I noticed a large room to the back where they roasted the coffee and a shelf that housed at home brewing equipment.

This was a cafe that quite honestly did not want to leave! The baristas were super friendly and the environment so relaxing, I wish I had my laptop, I would have blogged there all day! Lamplighter Coffee is one of those places, I think about often and cannot wait to return! Next time I will pack my laptop and plan on spending the day there!
