The Grind ★★★
The road trip is an experience I embrace. It’s the perfect time to check out local coffee shops everywhere and ones that you may not have the opportunity to visit again.
While road-tripping, I use Yelp as my guide to search out local coffee shops. I try to stop at as many as I can and even after visiting multiple shops, I am always trying to squeeze in just one more.
This was the case when visiting The Grind in Morgantown, W.V.. We were on our way home this summer from our road trip to Kansas City. Home was just a few hours away when I looked over at my husband and said the words…..
“Just one more…..â€
He lovingly obliged and we found ourselves in Morgantown, W.V. for the last stop before arriving home.
The Grind is located downtown in a college town and very busy! Walking in, it had a relaxed feel to the place – a rustic, homey.
I noticed a menu board with special drinks featured only at The Grind and I couldn’t resist. While a skinny cappuccino is my drink, I enjoy trying different things and today’s order was a Milky Joe, (iced americano with a splash of maple and cream) & an iced maple latte for the hubby.
We didn’t stay, as we were headed home. But the caffeine came at a timely moment to get us the rest of the way. Both drinks were yummy and baristas friendly too.
They are a multi-roaster coffee house. They also serve Caffe D’arte, an Italian roaster from Seattle Washington, as well as Olympia Coffee Roasters.
The Grind Coffee Shop in W.V. is committed to share craft coffee with the local community and looks forward to your next visit with them.
Next time you find yourself in Morgantown, W.V., make sure to stop by and try the yummy iced coffees!
