Three Ships Coffee Roasters ★★★★★

The brick building clearly and beautifully stated, “Coffee Bar & Roastery”. It was simple, yet stunning, I almost ran inside. This was Three Ships Coffee Roasters. My love of the place began before I even walked in the door.

Once inside, you find yourself in a large raw space with exposed beams and a wall bench that encourages you to stay and enjoy the coffee they roast on site.

I walked to the counter, stuttering my first words to the guy behind the counter because I was so overtaken by the place and had a million questions running through my head, I am so glad no one was in line behind me.

The baristas were not only very knowledgeable but friendly as well. He recommended certain roasts to me based on his favorite and I had the hardest time deciding what to order. They offered cold nitro brew and pour overs -in which I said “yes” to both. The cold brew, “Captain’s Black” was AMAZING! Some of the best cold brew I have EVER tasted, full bodied and the finish was perfect!

My pour over was very complex and although a lighter roast than I normally select,  was just as tasty. I purchased a bag of beans and a gallon of the cold brew to go.

Another really cool thing about Three Ships Coffee is that they offer pop up coffee shops all over both Virginia Beach and Norfolk.

This is the BEST coffee shop down by the beach and you MUST go!
