Ultimo Coffee #4 ★★★★
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the home to some excellent coffee shops and Ultimo Coffee is one of them. This cafe places in the number four slot in the top 59 coffee shops in the US and it is well deserved!
You will find two locations in Philly, the owners were featured in Barista Magazine and they are also the first place winner of the World Barista Championship trophy 2015.
  
Off a side street in Downtown Philly, this location is a clean looking cafe filled with beautiful woodwork and packs a punch when serving up a  cappuccino.
Counter Culture Coffee is the roaster of choice and it does not disappoint. The place was simple and beautiful, the baristas friendly and knowledgable. If I lived in Philly, this would probably be my go to everyday cafe. It feels un-rushed, uncluttered and portrays the simplicity of coffee with class.
I appreciated the large merchandise section as well, offering a variety of items that enables you to bring a coffee shop quality drink into your home.
 I will definitely return when I visit the area again. Until then, I have sweet coffee memories of a relaxing cup of joe that I shared with the love of my life!
I did get a chance to visit Happy Creek and liked the atmosphere but what really drew me to the café was the artwork! Young, local artist, Rachel Ellison had her drawings displayed throughout the coffee shop. Very impressive works! ?
I’m envious. One of my nephews goes to college in Philly; I will have to send him in my stead!
